FriendsFinder Terms of Service

These Terms are an agreement between you and Stone Harbor Enterprises LLC, a Maine limited liability company operating FriendsFinder. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. Questions may be sent to support@friendsfinder.com.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and promptly report unauthorized access. Shared profiles may represent only consenting adults who are eligible to use FriendsFinder.

FriendsFinder is designed for platonic friendship, Groups, Meetups, and community activity. You may not harass, threaten, stalk, impersonate, exploit, defraud, spam, evade blocks or enforcement, distribute malware, scrape the service without permission, violate another person’s rights, or use FriendsFinder for illegal activity.

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Stone Harbor Enterprises LLC a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify for technical formatting, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate, secure, moderate, and improve FriendsFinder. This license ends when content is deleted except for reasonable backups, legal obligations, safety records, and content shared with others who retain their own copies.

You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed for content you submit, including content about a partner or other person.

We may investigate reports and remove content, limit features, preserve evidence, suspend accounts, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect members, prevent harm or fraud, maintain service integrity, or comply with law. Available appeal processes do not guarantee reversal.

You are responsible for your communications, friendships, travel, Meetups, and decisions to interact in person. FriendsFinder does not guarantee a member’s identity, statements, background, compatibility, conduct, or safety and does not perform comprehensive background checks. Follow the Safety guidance and contact emergency services in an emergency.

We may add, remove, suspend, or change features. FriendsFinder may experience interruptions and is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the extent permitted by law, Stone Harbor Enterprises LLC and its owners, personnel, and providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits or data, or harm arising from member conduct or in-person interactions. Total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of amounts you paid FriendsFinder during the preceding twelve months or one hundred U.S. dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow every limitation, so applicable law controls.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify Stone Harbor Enterprises LLC from third-party claims arising from your content, unlawful conduct, violation of these Terms, or infringement of another person’s rights.

These Terms are governed by Maine law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, claims must be brought in state or federal courts located in Maine, and each party consents to their jurisdiction. These Terms do not require private arbitration or waive participation in a class action.

You may stop using FriendsFinder and use available account-deletion controls. Provisions that logically survive termination remain effective. We may update these Terms; material updates will receive a new effective date and, when appropriate, additional notice or renewed acceptance.
