FriendsFinder Terms of Service

These Terms are an agreement between you and Stone Harbor Enterprises LLC, a Maine limited liability company operating FriendsFinder. By creating an account, purchasing a paid service, or using the service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and promptly report unauthorized access. Shared profiles may represent only consenting adults who are eligible to use FriendsFinder.

FriendsFinder is designed for platonic friendship, Groups, Meetups, and community activity. You may not harass, threaten, stalk, impersonate, exploit, defraud, spam, evade blocks or enforcement, distribute malware, scrape the service without permission, violate another person’s rights, or use FriendsFinder for illegal activity.

FriendsFinder may offer optional paid memberships, subscriptions, one-time purchases, or other paid digital services. The price, billing interval, included benefits, and any recurring nature of a purchase will be shown before you authorize payment. Applicable taxes may be added where required.

For recurring subscriptions, you authorize the payment method on file to be charged at each renewal until you cancel. If a price for an existing recurring subscription changes, we will provide notice as required by applicable law before the new price takes effect.

You may cancel a recurring FriendsFinder subscription at any time using the cancellation controls made available for that purchase or by contacting support@friendsfinder.com if assistance is needed. Cancellation stops future renewals and normally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, so access to paid benefits continues through that period unless we state otherwise or applicable law requires a different result.

Canceling a subscription does not delete your FriendsFinder account. Account deletion and subscription cancellation are separate actions. If a purchase is billed through an app store or another third-party marketplace, its cancellation process and any mandatory marketplace terms may apply.

Because FriendsFinder provides digital services and access rather than physical goods, payments are generally non-refundable once a paid period or digital benefit has begun, except where required by law or where FriendsFinder expressly states otherwise at purchase. We may provide refunds or credits in appropriate circumstances, including duplicate or erroneous charges, at our reasonable discretion and subject to applicable law.

If you believe a charge is incorrect or unauthorized, contact support@friendsfinder.com promptly with enough information for us to identify the transaction. We encourage customers to contact us first so we can investigate and try to resolve billing concerns. Nothing in these Terms limits any dispute, chargeback, refund, or consumer-protection rights that cannot legally be waived.

FriendsFinder currently sells digital services and does not sell or ship physical goods, so there are no physical products to return. If physical goods are offered in the future, the applicable return process and conditions will be disclosed before purchase and this policy will be updated as appropriate.

Any discount, trial, promotional price, coupon, credit, referral offer, or other promotion is subject to the terms displayed with that promotion, including any eligibility requirements, expiration date, redemption limit, renewal price, or geographic restriction. Unless stated otherwise, promotions have no cash value, may not be combined, and may be modified or ended to the extent permitted by law. If promotional terms conflict with these general Terms for that promotion, the specific promotional terms control.

FriendsFinder and its paid services may not be available in every jurisdiction. You may not use the service or purchase paid services where doing so would violate applicable law, sanctions, export-control requirements, or other legal restrictions. You are responsible for complying with laws that apply to your use of the service.

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Stone Harbor Enterprises LLC a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify for technical formatting, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate, secure, moderate, and improve FriendsFinder. This license ends when content is deleted except for reasonable backups, legal obligations, safety records, and content shared with others who retain their own copies.

You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed for content you submit, including content about a partner or other person.

We may investigate reports and remove content, limit features, preserve evidence, suspend accounts, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect members, prevent harm or fraud, maintain service integrity, or comply with law. Available appeal processes do not guarantee reversal.

You are responsible for your communications, friendships, travel, Meetups, and decisions to interact in person. FriendsFinder does not guarantee a member’s identity, statements, background, compatibility, conduct, or safety and does not perform comprehensive background checks. Follow the Safety guidance and contact emergency services in an emergency.

We may add, remove, suspend, or change features. FriendsFinder may experience interruptions and is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the extent permitted by law, Stone Harbor Enterprises LLC and its owners, personnel, and providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits or data, or harm arising from member conduct or in-person interactions. Total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of amounts you paid FriendsFinder during the preceding twelve months or one hundred U.S. dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow every limitation, so applicable law controls.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify Stone Harbor Enterprises LLC from third-party claims arising from your content, unlawful conduct, violation of these Terms, or infringement of another person’s rights.

These Terms are governed by Maine law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, claims must be brought in state or federal courts located in Maine, and each party consents to their jurisdiction. These Terms do not require private arbitration or waive participation in a class action.

You may stop using FriendsFinder and use available account-deletion controls. Provisions that logically survive termination remain effective. We may update these Terms; material updates will receive a new effective date and, when appropriate, additional notice or renewed acceptance.
